Get ready for Polymer Week 2024, where five talented teachers from all corners of the world will share their polymer clay knowledge and expertise. Discover innovative methods and transform  blocks of polymer clay into extraordinary artworks.

Christine Dumont is an award-winning, contemporary jewelry artist, using mainly non tinted polymer clay infused with pigments and alternative materials. Her degree in Cognitive Science has been instrumental in her personal and unique approach to art and design. 

“Blooms!” is an innovative approach to creating unusual surface treatments and techniques with a focus on lightweight sculptural brooches. This workshop draws on Christine Dumont’s many years of working with polymer clay, teaching and mentoring.

Originally trained as a technical construction manager, Enkhe discovered her love for jewelry making. She finds inspiration in the shapes, textures, repetition, and colors of both urban and rural landscapes. Drawing on her background in construction and her vivid imagination, she focuses on creating hollow pieces and three-dimensional objects. 

Learn how to create hollow, three dimensional contemporary beads. With an unexpected combination of polymer clay and resin, you will discover the secrets of creating hollow forms and holes without using any silicone molds and drilling. No more dust and no more waste.

With a passion for art and design, Dorothée began working with polymer clay at six. She studied art history and architecture, authored a book on polymer clay modeling, founded a non-profit for local creatives, and organized various creative events. Her jewelry and poetic hybrid characters have gained worldwide recognition.

Dorothée will guide you through the process of creating poetic hybrid sculptures, combining precision with fun. From sketching your character, building armature, creating face expressions, and designing accessories, to selecting the perfect colors and assembling your sculpture, you'll learn every step of the way, including tips for imitating skin tones and creating depth with patina.

Loretta Lam has been working in polymer since 1999. She is an award winning and renowned artist showcasing her artwork in fine craft galleries across the US, at the nation’s top retail art shows and exhibition, and has been featured in numerous publications. Five years ago, she authored book "Mastering Contemporary Jewelry Design," showcasing her expertise. 

This class will give you the tools to up your design game. Loretta will help you to create a harmonious color palette, you will learn how movement directs the viewer’s eye in and around the composition, and how and when to repeat pattern, color and texture for maximum effect. You will create several beads with an unexpected element to add personality and flair into your own statement necklace.

As a movie miniaturist working in entertainment, creating detailed models and miniature sets, Caroline brought much attention to polymer clay in the movie industry. She has been showcasing her sculptures and miniatures on TV, for example as a judge in the HBO competitive art show 'Craftopia'. ​
